"Shepherd's Cottage"

Named after the last permanent resident in the days when Barmore was a working farm, Shepherd’s Cottage has been recently re-furbished. It is tastefully decorated with a delightful blend of modern and traditional and a high level of comfort. It is an excellent choice if you have had a busy day exploring the dramatic countryside in and around the Kintyre Peninsula or nearby islands of Gigha, Islay or Arran, with an open fire making it a real home from home If you prefer to stay close to base you may just want to kick back and relax in the courtyard on the outdoor rocking chairs watching for red squirrels or sit and listen to the beautiful birdsong. Alternatively, there are lovely walks through the grounds of Stonefield Castle and less than 10 minutes will take you down to Barmore Island and the stunning beauty of Loch Fyne where you may spot seals, otters, herons and other neighbours.
